Morning Devotionals

Tuesday

1. Remember the Parable of the Talents? Write down what you think a life not wasted looks like.

Instead of using the gifts God has entrusted us with, we sometimes neglect or even misuse the gifts for our own benefit. In a way, this is what it means to sin. One day we will stand before God to give an account for what we have done.

2. How do you think God will respond to the sin you have committed?

3. Read Matthew 7:21-23 & reflect on the questions below:

  1. What’s shocking about what Jesus says about Judgement Day?
  2. What’s wrong with the fake Christians’ responses? What do you think is missing?
Wednesday

1. Recap: What has God shown you this week?

2. How has the gospel story changed your life? Write some of your story using the following prompts:

  1. Who I was before Jesus:
  2. When did I give my life to Jesus?
  3. What does my life look like now that I am following Jesus?

3. Read Parable of the 4 Soils in Luke 8:4-15 & reflect on the questions below:

  1. Explain or draw a visual for each of the four soils and their deeper meaning.
  2. What is God trying to teach you through this parable?

  4. How has Jesus made a way to save us from our problem?
  5. How does Jesus command us to respond?
  6. What changes when we make Jesus our Lord and Savior?
