What We Do
Our strategy begins on the school campus. Our goal is to move students from the school to a worship service to a small group, where life change happens on a deeper level.
Worship at Midway and Nitelight allows students to feel at home as they learn to connect with God. Whether it’s their first time at church or they have a growing relationship with Christ, our worship environments are a place for students to connect with others and grow in their faith.
Small groups give students the opportunity to plug into close-knit communities. Groups are led by mature leaders who will walk with students as they experience life change as Christ-followers.
Beach Camp will be June 11-15, 2018!
Lake Camp will be June 24-29, 2018
Meet our Student Minister: Chase Phillips
I was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. I came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior when I was 9 years old. I began feeling God call me to ministry during my junior year at South Doyle High School. God continually confirmed that call over the next few years. I played football at the University of Tennessee for two and a half years before transferring to Carson Newman where I had the privilege of playing under Coach Sparks. Through programs like FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) I was able to gain ministry experience while being a student-athlete. While I was at UT, I met Krissy and eventually talked her into being my wife on December 14th, 2013. We have a two-year-old named Deacon and a seven- month-old named Barrett, but we call him Bear. My call to ministry is important, but my call to being a Godly husband and father is something I also take very seriously. I’ve learned so much about my relationship with Christ just by being a dad to these two amazing boys.
At Midway, 7th and 8th graders learn to navigate life in the light of scripture. We emphasize discernment about what and who will be the guiding forces in their lives.
Midway meets Sundays at 11:00am in The Studio.
Nitelight is our high school worship environment. These young adults are making decisions that can affect the rest of their lives. We desire them to become leaders and influence others.
Nitelight meets Wednesdays in The Studio—hanging out from 6-6:30pm, worshipping from 6:30-7:30pm, and meeting in small groups from 7:30-8:30pm.
