Staff Development Coordinator
Tara is also known as the staff coach and cheerleader. Because she is a therapist, she attempts to keep everyone healthy and balanced. She is associated with anything that helps staff be better – from training new interns to telling someone “you must take a day off!”
She is also passionate about helping women become fully devoted followers of Christ and uses her clinical background and own personal experiences and walk with Christ to oversee Providence Women’s Ministry.
Tara obtained a Masters of Science in Social Work (M.S.S.W) from the University of Tennessee in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science from Carson Newman College in 1993. She is a licensed clinical social worker and has experience in community mental health, substance abuse treatment, and inpatient psychiatric treatment. She currently provides clinical counseling for individuals, couples, families and adolescents here at Providence.
When she isn’t wearing all these hats, she loves to be at home or camping in the woods with her husband Brian and 3 children, Ethan, Jonathan, and Addie. On the rare occasion the house is quiet, she will curl up with a good book and a great cup of coffee.
