Worship Team

Weekly Commitment:

Band musicians and vocalists at Providence desire to use their gifts to worship God and to help lead the church in worship. Creativity and team contribution are encouraged! Because we do not currently have a weeknight rehearsal time, self-motivated preparation is very important. Each team member is responsible to listen to and learn worship songs each week and should be comfortable using simple chord charts. As our team grows, we expect to develop regular monthly schedule rotations and/or multiple teams for Sunday morning worship.

>Audition/Interview is required for all new worship team musicians.

Time Commitment:

>Sundays 7:15am-12:30pm

*Note that worship teams serve during both services.

First Impressions Team: Greeters & Information

This ministry is about helping people feel welcome at Providence by opening doors, saying “Hello”, smiling warmly, and providing information and directions. Time commitment involves arriving 15 minutes prior to the service, and serving around 15 minutes into the service as latecomers arrive on the church campus.

This is an important ministry and you can make a difference!

Creation Station – Ages 0-Kindergarten

Teacher – Every Week or Every Other Week: Oversee a classroom of children. General nursery duties for birth-18 months old. Use easy-to-follow curriculum that involves crafts, activities and games, large group time and snack for older children . All curriculum and supplies are provided every week.

Helper – Every Week or Every Other Week: Assist the teacher in a classroom with nursery duties and curriculum.

Greeter – Every Week, 30 Minutes (15 minutes prior to start of service through 15 minutes after start of service): Welcome families at the Creation Station Welcome Desk and sign-in children using our computerized check-in system. Welcome visitors and collect necessary information.

Coach – Every Week: Maintain the Creation Station Welcome Desk. Greet visitors, help with registration cards and escort families to proper class. Introduce teachers and helpers to visiting families. Close the hallway 15 minutes after the service begins. Remain at the Welcome Desk throughout assigned service. Monitor hallway, assisting volunteers with getting supplies, etc. from the Resource Room. Notify sound booth to post security number if a parent is needed. Answer questions and assist greeters and teachers as needed.

Storyteller – Weekly or Monthly, 15 Minutes: Communicate our weekly Bible story to our preschoolers in a fun, engaging manner.

Worship Leader – Every Week, 10 Minutes: Lead our preschoolers in a time of worship through music using upbeat songs and hand motions.

Curriculum – Every Week: Help with editing curriculum; can be done during the week at home.

Discovery Street – 1st-4th Grade

Lots of Opportunities in Discovery Street!

Small Group Leader

Becomes a primary role model for a small group of approximately 10 children and encourages spiritual growth through relationships, discussions, and other small group activities. Time commitment: 1-2 hours weekly or bi-weekly

Helper/Floater

Assists the small group leader on Sunday mornings. Time Commitment: 1 hour a week on a bi-monthly rotation

Greeter

Serves at the Discovery Street welcome desk, on Sunday morning. Helps parents through the process of getting kids registered and also explains to parents how DS is designed. Time Commitment: 45 minutes weekly

Coach

Provides leadership and support to a team of five to ten small group leaders, communicates with Discovery Street coordinator and leaders during the week, and oversees the learning environment within the classroom. – Time Commitment: 1.5-2 hours per week.

Substitute Positions

Being available as needed as a small group helper, leader, or greeter.- Time commitment: 1-2 hours weekly as needed

KIDZ BLITZ & KIDSTUF CLUBHOUSE OPPORTUNITIES

Actor, Tech Person, Storyteller, Creative Writer, Kidstuf Dancer, Host, Worship & Dance coordinator, Prop coordinator.
