Women’s Retreat

The women of Providence Church invite you to join us on a rejuvenating women’s retreat, in Townsend, TN on Friday, March 30 through Sunday, April 1. This retreat is a spiritual journey to refresh your soul through scripture study, prayer, laughter and sharing. All women are welcome. Further details will follow soon or for more information, contact women@providencechurch.com. We are currently in need of volunteers who can assist in all aspects of planning this retreat! Passover Seder

Providence will be hosting its second church-wide Passover Seder on February 22nd, from 6pm – 8pm.

As we are experiencing the Journey together, the Passover Seder gives us an opportunity to delve even deeper into the truth and culture of the Bible. This evening is led by a Jewish Christian who will unlock the wonder and significance of this ancient tradition.

This will be an entertaining evening, but will also include a teaching time which can be difficult for small children’s attention spans. As such, this evening isn’t recommended for small children. Parents, please use your discretion in this area as we don’t want you to miss any of the richness of this great event.

Admission is $10 per person, or for larger families, there is a $35 family rate (note that this is for families only, not all groups). Click here to register. If you have any questions, please email us at info@providencechurch.com.

NOTE TO PARENTS:

The dinner portion of the seder (lamb, potatoes, peas, apple salad, macaroons) will be approximately 45 minutes into the service.

A snack for younger children before you come to church may be in order.

Providence 101 is a great way for you to learn more about Providence, its values, vision, beliefs and more. Whether you are brand new and want to learn more about Providence or have been coming for quite a while and are thinking about joining, this is for you! SECRET CHURCH

On November 4th, from 7pm to 1am, we will again be hosting a Secret Church simulcast. Secret Church is six intense hours of biblical teaching and prayer for the persecuted church led by David Platt. He is the pastor of The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, Alabama and the author of The New York Times bestseller Radical. The theme for this Secret Church is “Family, Marriage, Sex, and the Gospel.”

“FAMILY, MARRIAGE, SEX, AND THE GOSPEL”
Manhood. Womanhood. Marriage. Parenting. Singleness. Sex. Divorce. Homosexuality. Same-sex marriage. Polygamy. Pornography. Adoption. Abortion. Cultures around the world perceive each of these issues differently. So how does God’s Word address them? During Secret Church on November 4, 2011, we will explore how the gospel uniquely affects our understanding of family, marriage, sex, and host of related (and controversial) issues that are ultimately foundational for the display of the glory of God in our lives, in the church, and in the world.

There are limited spaces available for Secret Church, so register now! To register, you’ll use your Providence Church account. If you don’t have a Providence Church account, you will be able to create one.

Cost is $8 per person. Payable by Credit Card or eCheck.

Due to the long duration of Secret Church, as well as the late hour, childcare is not provided.

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis is a unique 30-minute presentation where parents and kids (K – 4th grade) learn what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Metamorphosis is a one-time class developed to give parents the tools necessary to have meaningful dialogue with their kids about how to begin their spiritual journey. Our next Metamorphosis class will be held on September 25th, at 9:00am. If you would like to register your child, please fill out the form below.
