Bryan joined the Providence staff in July of 2009.  He comes to Providence with a passion for spiritual growth through small groups, and helping people find their “niche” in ministry.  Bryan has been in ministry since 1990 in various roles including 13 years as a senior pastor and church planter.

In every church that Bryan served, he developed small groups and discipleship ministries. He is particularly familiar with group dynamics and spent 11 years with an internet equipping ministry called SmallGroups.com. Bryan has been personally involved in small group ministries since he was 16 years old and believes that “group life” is the church’s sharpest tool in building biblical community, facilitating true life change, and developing new leaders.

Bryan graduated from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, earning his M.Div. in 1998. He also holds degrees from North Greenville University and Carson-Newman College.  Bryan met his wife Jennifer at Carson-Newman and they were married in 1994.  They have one daughter.
