Katie is a West Knoxville native and has been at Providence since 1999. She served tirelessly as a volunteer for years and raised support to serve as an intern in 2003. After proving herself to be a valuable asset to the church, she was asked to come on staff the following year. Katie graduated with a biology degree from the University of Tennessee in 2003. Katie and has participated in several athletic events, including half-marathons, a triathlon, and a 500-mile bike race across the state of Iowa! She is married to Chris.
